Timberwolves held Kevin Garnett

Timberwolves held the star Kevin Garnett with the current of the investigations for a transfer before the NBA Draft, but Garnett expressed a preference to remain in Minnesota.

Speaking publicly for the first time since the draft, Taylor said Monday, a day after returning from a three-week honeymoon in China, that he never sought to trade Garnett, 31, but for the first time decided to listen more seriously to what teams had to offer.

The Wolves will continue to discuss trade scenarios, Taylor said, but they won't include Garnett.
