Fisher out of court because of Family Problem

The one member of the Utah Jazz who knows the most about the Warriors was not at EnergySolutions Arena on Monday night.

Point guard Derek Fisher, who spent two seasons with Golden State before a July trade brought him to Salt Lake City, missed Game 1 and is not expected at practice today after being excused for what the Jazz termed "personal reasons."

Fisher, who started all seven games in the Jazz's first-round victory over the Houston Rockets and averaged 9.4 points per contest, did not participate in Monday morning's shootaround but was in the building and answered more than 15 minutes of reporters' questions. He said that his problem, which also caused him to miss the shootaround Thursday before Utah's Game 6 against the Rockets, involved one of his children, but he did not go into any more detail. Fisher and his wife, Candace, have four kids: Chloe, Marshall and infant twins Drew and Tatum.
