Denver to sign more point guard...

In order to encourage depth of point guard, one hopes that the nuggets to sign Von Wafer and Anthony Carter to contracts for the rest of the season. Wafer, Carter and Mateen Cleaves in Thursday solved for nuggets in the city of Oklahoma, including vice president of the operations of the basketball, marks Warkentien. Wafer, before which it has been solved for the equipment, said he had the understanding going into this workout that he would be signed.

The Nuggets have lacked depth at point guard ever since trading Andre Miller and Earl Boykins in December and January. Steve Blake is the only true point guard in the list of nuggets, and Allen Iverson has played a certain point guard. DerMarr Johnson has been used in situations dispersed in point guard.

Carter has played for the Miami Heats and the Minnesota Timberwolves, as well as overseas, in a race of eight years. He was with nuggets during training field and preseason. “I think that it is a great situation for me,” Carter said. "I can bring a lot more to the team as far as getting the scorers the ball, picking up full court, playing great defense, things like that."

Wafer starred with the Colorado 14ers, making an average of 21,0 points and 3,3 assists. Wafer's stint could be much more important for the future, as he looks to parlay this chance into a summer-league spot and possibly a roster spot on next year's team.

"Most definitely," Wafer said. "I want to work hard, do everything the coaches ask of me, work on my game."
