Utah Jazz played good defense to win Game 3

The defense of Utah was quite good for surpassing any offensive struggles, and the night was the Houston Rockets losing game 81-67 in their playoff series, but Rockets still lead 2-1 for this playoff series.

The jazz maintained to the rockets without a goal of the field by 10 minutes by half second and it did not allow that the reserves of Houston wrote down a single point. Yao Ming wrote down 26 and Tracy McGrady made 24 points for Houston, but only two other rockets to scored.

If Yao and McGrady combine hardly for 50 points, it is not a bad night for the defense, specially when the rest of the team scored 17 more only.

The stifling defense made up for another marginal night on offense. Utah was 33-for-85 from the field -- 2-for-15 on 3-pointers -- but had 15 offensive rebounds to Houston's nine and forced the Rockets into 19 turnovers.

Carlos Boozer had 22 points and 12 rebounds and Mehmet Okur had four blocks and four steals, covering Yao all the night with a much more physical defense that Utah obtains generally of his scorer second-that it leads.

Utah Deron Williams added 11 points and eight assists for his team, and the inexperienced reserve Paul Millsap wrote down nine points.

The Rockets won the first two games of the series at home, but were sloppy on the road during the first playoff game in Utah since 2003. Houston had 19 turnovers to Utah's 11 and was just 21-for-64 from the floor (32.8 percent).

Game 4 pays attention for the Saturday night.

Chichago Bulls played exciting games to lead Miami Heat 2-0 in Playoff Series

Chichago Bulls played exciting games to lead Miami Heat 2-0 in Playoff Series.
Ben Gordon, who lead the team with a game-high 27 points, was 5-of-8 from three-point range. As a team, the Bulls finished 11-of-17 from beyond the arc.

Luol Deng added 26 points, including 14 in the fourth quarter. He now has made 61 percent of his shots through two games (25-of-41).

Running with the Bulls continued to be a problem for the Heat, which again was on the short side of fast-break points, this time 10-5. The Bulls bolted to a 31-21 lead in the first quarter, which was capped by Andreas Nocioni's three-pointer at the buzzer.
Nocioni near the scorer's table capping his shot with a primal scream and wild arm pump.

The Bulls buried the first four shots they took from three-point range in the third quarter, during which they had 10 assists. They took a 76-59 lead on Gordon's 25-footer with 5:49 left in the third and led by as many as 21 in the fourth.

Cavaliers Lead 2-0 Over Wizards

With LeBron James playing cautiously on a sprained left ankle, Gooden scored 19 of his 24 points before halftime Wednesday night, powering the Cavaliers to a 109-102 victory over the Washington Wizards and a 2-0 lead in their first-round series.

Gooden normally doesn't have many offensive plays called for him by Cleveland coach Mike Brown, who may have to rethink that philosophy after the forward came through on a night when James was clearly not himself.

Gooden's performance came exactly one year after he had 24 points and 16 rebounds in Game 2 of the Cavs' first-round series against the Wizards. Cleveland lost that game before winning the series in six.

But the 6-foot-10 Gooden, who is growing out an 1980s-style ducktail hairdo, helped make sure recent history wouldn't be repeated.

The Wizards, though, made it interesting in the final minute. They kept pecking away at Cleveland's lead and closed within 105-102 on a 3-pointer by Jarvis Hayes with 18 seconds left.

T-Mac attacked Utah Jazz in Game 2 Playoff Series

After not being able to advance beyond first round in five previous series of the playoff series, T-Mac thinks that this is time to get up and doesn't want anything to get in the way.

The rockets are intermediate there after taking a lead 2-0 in the series from the seven-game with the Utah Jazz. Game 3 will play on Thursday in Utah.

McGrady had a slow start to the series after scoring just one point in the first half of Game 1 while dealing with nerves. He take it in time to scored 16 points in third quarter to rally his team to the win.

It did not demonstrate to no sample of the nervousness Monday in which he wrote down 31 points. The rockets are faithful, but the dangers know to leave for above after jumping to an early lead in the series. Houston was upon 2-0 before the Mavericks won four of the next five games to advance.

Although McGrady and Yao have scored 20 or more points in each one of the first two games, the coach Jeff Van Gundy is a small piece referred on its percentage that shots. McGrady was 9/29 on Monday, and Yao wrote down 9/24.

Lakers fall behind 2-0 by Suns in Playoff

The Lakers put ignition expensive brave before game 2 and made its best one to convince each one that still continued being the life in its first-round series of the second phase against Phoenix. Results at night of Tuesdays indicated of another way. Everything that the Lakers tried horribly blown up. They pushed the ball inside and they obtained around pushed by Amare Stoudemire. Kobe Bryant tried to obtain its implied teammates, and betrayed its confidence. The Lakers intensified its defensive focus on Leandro Barbosa, and it had another shining effort.

The Lakers avoided that indignity, but weren't fast enough, smart enough or strong enough to hang with the Suns. The game turned late in the firstquarter and early in the second, when the Suns bridged a 10-0 run to open a 13-point lead. It's hard to see how the Lakers could have played much worse.

The final indignity came midway through the fourth quarter when Bryant, still in the game even though the Lakers faced a 30-point deficit, collided with Barbosa near midcourt and twisted his right ankle. Bryant stayed in the game temporarily but headed to the locker room with just under sixminutes left. The night could not have been of frustration for Bryant.

At the beginning of, it did not force the action whereas the Lakers looked like trim in attacking the basket and obtaining Stoudemire in revolting foul trouble. And here he is how that was: Hardly 77 seconds in the game, James Jones blocked the jump shot of Luke Walton. After Forty-seven seconds later, attempt of Bryant rejected by Stoudemire in a short runner. 75 seconds after that, Stoudemire rose to strike far with force one of layups that lead patented by Odom.

Its frustrated plan, the Lakers did not have any offensive rate. The Suns prevented Bryant from single-handedly taking over the game and kept the pace of play at their preferred run-and-gun speed.

The Suns must still win twogames to close out this series, but after a 126-98 victory, in front of 18,422 at US Airways Center, there's little evidence that the rest of the series is anything but a formality.

Two Warriors ejected from Game 2

The Golden State Warriors' guard, Baron Davis, was was fouls out with 0,2 seconds left in the third quarter from game 2 against Dallas in Wednesday night.
Then his teammate Stephen Jackson assembled it more ahead in the fourth trimester, both of them obtain two technicians foulls.
Both of them obtained their technical fouls through the third quarter during an incident that started with Mavericks' guard Jason Terry bumping into Jackson, then Davis.
Davis collects two personal fouls in the game early, but he did not have another one until the third quarter. He obtained only two minutes separated after the technical, then been able his fifth personal foul in mid-air a collision when defended Jerry Stackhouse in end of the quarter.
Davis jumped up angrily and the teammate Al Harrington grabbed the waistband of his pants, stretching it to pull him back in hopes to calm him down. He ended up going over to the bench, smiling and clapping. The coach Don Nelson called him to calms down, saying, “don't do that, '' but it was too late. Official Bennett Salvatore struck Davis with his second technical foul, an automatic ejection.
Stephen Jackson lasted until there was 4:34 to left. What he said that obtained the shaken thing was not almost nearly as bad as his reaction afterward, with most of his anger aimed at official Sean Corbin. His teammate Matt Barnes tried shielding Jackson's mouth, first with his arm then with a towel as he helped escort him to the locker room.

Suns are leading the Lakers in first round of playoff

The result was a meeting of second-half that gave to Suns a victory 95-87 on the Los Angeles Lakers in their first-round Western Conference playoff opener.
Barbosa demonstrated why he is a main candidate to the concession of NBA's sixth man award. The super-speedy guard scored 19 of his 26 points in the second half, including 15 consecutive Phoenix points in one stretch, to match his career playoff scoring high.
Amare Stoudemire, back in the postseason after missing last year's while recovering from two knee surgeries, added 23 points and 12 rebounds.

Nash had 20 points and 10 assists and Shawn Marion 16 points and 16 rebounds for a Phoenix team that struggled mightily on offense until Barbosa provide the spark, highlighted by a 31-footer at the third-quarter buzzer that cut the Lakers' lead to 77-74 entering the fourth.

Left Ankle injury on LeBron James!

His left ankle moments out of an ice bucket, LeBron James paused while getting dressed in the Cavs' locker room Sunday afternoon to watch the replay of when he landed on the foot of Wizards center Etan Thomas an hour or so earlier. Seeing the closeup of his Nike go perpendicular to the floor elicited a sharp grimace.

But it didn't linger, he put on his dress shoes and walked away without a noticeable limp and promised to be fine.

James' rolled ankle four minutes into the second half provided the only drama in the Cavs' 97-82 Game 1 victory. While the outcome was as predicted, the near miss was a cautionary reminder of just how fragile a postseason can be. Which the Wizards, of course, know all too well.

After a timeout, James didn't even have to leave the game on his way to 23 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. He's turned his ankles perhaps seven or eight times in similar plays this season and always got up. So his teammates said they didn't freeze, like many of the 20,000 fans at Quicken Loans Arena, when he was rolling on the floor in pain.

Nuggets lead game 1 win over Spurs, 95 - 89

If Iverson and Anthony play this good again, the nuggets will have a good shot. Anthony wrote down 30 points and Iverson added 31, including 29 after a first quarter.
And the Nuggets played the resistant defense, also, that is not generally their forte.
Nene added 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Marcus Camby grabbeb 10 rebounds for Denver, that entered the playoff that gained 10 of 11. He also made difficult things for Tim Duncan, who wrote down 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Spurs.
Tony Parker lead Spurs with 19 points, followed by Michael Finley with 15 points and Robert Horry with 14 points.
Manu Ginobili of the Spurs is not putting much action in the 2005 series. Game 2 will play on Wednesday in San Antonio.
Denver signed Iverson in December, hoping the former MVP would combine with Anthony to set an unstoppable 1-2 plays and to make Nuggets a legitimate competitor for the NBA title. Both of them made an average of 55 points a game, but not until in the season behind schedule made the beginning of Denver to win constantly. READ MORE...

Warriors win over Mavericks in Game 1

Golden State Warriors win over Dallas Mavericks in game 1 of playoff. Baron Davis made 19 points of his 33 points in the third quarter, taking the small-ball lineup to a victory 97-85 on the Dallas at Sunday night in Game 1 of their Western Conference Playoff series.
Davis almost had a triple-double with 14 rebounds and eight assists. Its direction through demonstrated because they were the 16-5 down the strech after he returned from injury.
Stephen Jackson added 23 points and Jason Richardson wrote down 13 points, helping Golden State pick up its first playoff win since April 25, 1992, and its first playoff road win since May 8, 1991.
The Mavs done NBA Finals last year and are hoping to obtain behind again, specially after gaining 67 games in the regular season. But everything that gained it for the second phases was advantage of home-court, and it now has squandered it. Game 2 is in Dallas on Wednesday night.
The 7-foot tall Nowitzki were supposed for to win games, but it could not take advantage of his size against the Warriors that began formation to offer nobody taller than 6 foot 9. He placed for the outside shots early and was frustrated by double or even triple-teams defends on him, with Nelson knowing better than any person how much individual small, fast they tend to incomodar to that great German player.
Nowitzki was not the unique one who fought. Josh Howard was scored 8 of-21 points and added 13 rebounds. Dallas obtained only four points of the bank, all of center DeSagana Diop. Stackhouse was 0 of 6 attemps with five turnovers.
Devean George and Greg Buckner, acquired the last summer specifically to provide the strong defense of the perimeter in the second phases, made a work early decent. Then nobody could stop Davis in third, when he was made 6 of 8, striking all 3 of his 3 point shots. He wrote down four more points in the quarter than his team did in the second.
The Warriors fought early, who had to hope for a handful of nascent of the second phase. Yet the Mavs, who'd lost only five home games all of this season (one to the Warriors), fought of the beginning too. Their eight shots was missed in in the first quarter and their last 10 in the second quarter.
The best run of Dallas came down in the third quarter, from down four to up four while Nowitzki on the bench.
The Warriors led by four going into the fourth quarter and never gave up the lead. Dallas got within 78-76, but an 11-3 run helped the Warriors pull away.
The difficulties of the Mavs were symbolized by Jason Richardson, that hardly took under Devin Harris from behind without drawing a foul. With Harris on the ground, Matt Barnes made an indicator 3 points in front of the bank of Dallas bench for a 92-81 lead with about 2 minutes left.
Warriors' Barnes added 10 points and Al Harrington had seven points and 10 rebounds.
Mavs' Devan Harris wrote down 19 points, Jason Terry had 17 ponits and George wrote down 10 points.

Shaquile O'Neal

Shaq full name was Shaquille Rashaun O'Neal (born March 6, 1972), frequently referred to simply as Shaq, is one of the most famous American professional basketball players playing today; he is generally regarded as being one of the most dominant players in the National Basketball Association. He currently starts as center for the Miami Heat, after previous stints with the Los Angeles Lakers, and, earlier, the Orlando Magic. Throughout his career, he has been on four NBA Championship teams, most recently in 2006, with the Miami Heat.

Strength:
O'Neal's 7 ft 1 in/330-lb (2.16 m / 150 kg) frame gives him a power advantage over most opponents, and for a man of that size, he is quick and explosive. His "drop step", (called the "Black Tornado" by Shaq) in which he posts up a defender, turns around and, using his elbows for leverage, powers past him for a high-percentage slam dunk, has proven an effective offensive weapon.
Talking about Shaq, is like talking about the size, power, and quickness.
Opposing teams often use up many fouls on O'Neal, limiting the playing time of their own big men. Trying to defend O'Neal, teams put two, or sometimes even three defenders on him, resulting in uncontested shot opportunites for his teammates.

Weakness:
O'Neal's free throw shooting is probably one of his only major weaknesses.

McGrady was ranked #75 on SLAM magazine's Top 75 NBA Players of all time in 2003. He has also played for the Toronto Raptors and Orlando Magic.

Yi Jianlian

He was born on October 27, 1987, in Shenzhen, Guangdong. He is a player of Chinese basketball. He plays for the southern tigers of Guangdong of the Chinese Basketball Association. He is left-handed, 2,12 m (7 feet) and his weight is 104 kilograms (230 pounds). He is under contract with Nike to announce his products within China. Yi was featured in TIME Magazine's August 24, 2003 article entitled, "The Next Yao Ming." It was this article that first gained Yi worldwide recognition. Yi has extensively watched like more promising perspective of China since Yao Ming, and his style of game extensively compared to Kevin Garnett. What fixes it aside from other Chinese big men is his athleticism, that allows that it finishes on the edge with relative facility and consistency. During the Chinese Basketball Association season of 2004-2005, Yi registered more dunks than any other Chinese player. He also has an inclination to snatch many bounces and to block shots. Nevertheless, whereas it has the physical tools to be successful in the NBA level, its offensive game appears relatively without polishing to this point.
The major highlight of his CBA career was in January of 2005, when Yi shot 16 of 16 from the field, scoring 34 points. In international play, he averaged 13.5 points and 8 rebounds a game against the USA in two games, playing against Dwight Howard, Elton Brand, and Chris Bosh. He has played at both the 2004 Olympic Games and at the 2006 FIBA World Championship with the Chinese national basketball team, showing great promise and impressing coaches on both the Chinese National Team as well as the coaches from other countries.
However, questions surround his real birthdate. The range is typically from 1984 to 1987. The Chinese National Basketball Team has been accused of intentionally shrouding the true birthdates of its promising young players. The Houston Chronicle reported that Yi told Shane Battier he was 24 in an exhibition game before the 2006 FIBA World Championship. However, Yi later denied the allegations.
Yi was not expected to enter the NBA Draft until 2009 because the Chinese Basketball Association generally does not release their players until they turn 22. But in early 2006, he announced he would enter the 2006 NBA Draft, although he eventually decided to withdraw. However, on November 1st, 2006, Yi's club, the Guangdong Tigers, announced that Yi would enter the 2007 NBA Draft.

'Important Things' on Defense

Talking about Basketball, it is not only talking about offense, there are something called defense. Yes... offense can give you a game winning, but deffence give you a championship!
So many team can easily play basketball offense so good, but not on defense. It's little hard to play a good defense for teams. So, how to play good basketball defense?
There are some important things that should be aware when you are playing on defense position. These things concern your position in the private area of a man with the ball. This is about the situation which a defender must be focus to a man with the ball in front of him.
The defensive man should make that man in worry to dribbles, passes, or shoot the ball.
These important things on defense are: body balance, hands' position, fake, forcing, steal, and focus.
Focus is most important. If you aren't focus to guard your opponents, he will easily cross you away or can easily make shots without doubt. So, otherwise you will give him more confident to play that game.
Body Balance
Most coaches seems to call their defensive player to get in lower crouch than the players that their are guarding. But most players, it seems want to stand erect. So, how low should you be? A rules are: Make sure your head is always lower than the head of the guy you are guarding, and keep a good balance of you body by reaming your leg (don't stretch too wide).
Hands' position
All Coaches want their defender to put their HANDS UP! Because it will distracts the offense. YOU are in a better position to guard against a shot or deflect a pass. Players, invariably, want to play with their hands at their sides.
This is understandable. It's easier to move with hands at your side. In guarding the ball, there are times you want your "Hands UP" and there is times, they are better "Down."
If you are guarding a dribbler, YOUR hands DO NOT have to be up. They should be DOWN, faking at the ball, or HELPING YOUR BODY to stay on BALANCE and in POSITION.
So, when should put your hands up? Put your hands up in the situations that the offense players are too close to you or when he is trying to shoot the ball.
Important! NEVER RAISE YOUR BODY UP TO BLOCK THE PASS OR SHOT OF A PLAYER WHO HAS NOT YET DRIBBLED! Stay low. Keep your weight back. Stay in that bubble. SLAP UPWARD from the waist if he is OUT OF SHOOTING position, or SHAKE YOUR HAND over the shoulder if HE IS IN SHOOTING POSITION.
Fake, forcing and steal
Fake the offense player by letting him to dribble to corner sides of court. Give a space to him to dribble to left or right corner side of the court, then try to force him to grab the ball with two hands so it will stop his dribbles. When that situation is possible, your teammates can coming to help you (double team) to make him worry and you should try to slap or steal his ball.
Focus
Always remember this:
A players with the ball can do 3 things:
1. SHOOT
2. PASS
3. DRIBBLE to the left or to the right side of you.
You must focus by taking two of these three things away from him. So you can battle him for the third, fake him to the corner side.
Remember to calm down and ALWAYS keeping your focus of the ofense players and the ball! If you calm down and focus, you should minimize a fouls call and not be worry to take the fouls. Make your self a good confident in defense!
If you had too good in this situations, i suggest you to learn about BLOCKING SHOTS!
Good Luck!

Dallas Win Over Spurs 91-86

Dallas defeated Spurs 91-86 and may well play for the Western Conference championship.
By the end of the first, the Mavericks was trail behind by 28-22.
The Mavericks shot only 39% from the field while the Spurs shot at a 55%. Spurs' guard Tony Parker and forward Tim Duncan led in scoring for Spurs while Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard for the Mavericks had 4 each, with Jerry Stackhouse coming off the bench and scored 6. It seemed the Spurs were playing for pride and the Mavericks were just playing.
Then something happened toward the end of the third quarter that changed the dynamics of the game. It wouldn't be felt that quarter, but planted the seed that would germinate at the beginning of the fourth, bearing fruit the last three minutes of the game.
Spurs forward Tim Duncan, while on the bench, was called for two technicals in very short order. That got the Maverick fans in the game and took away the wind of the Spurs, placing them in the breeze of doldrums. The third quarter ended Spurs 76, Mavericks 72. The lead changed 10 times and they were tied 11 times during the third quarter. [read the detail]

In other game at that night, the Chicago Bulls win over Washington Wizards 101-68.

Dirk Nowitzki

Who is the best shooter in the all-time NBA's history? Maybe some people would say Larry Bird. Most of basketball players want to shoot like Bird. Because Larry Bird really has a proper shooting form, as a Power Forwad, he shot very well. In recent NBA games, there is one people do like him, maybe i would say he really shoot like Bird. He is taller and bigger than Larry Bird, 7 foot like a Center position size. He can play three position, small forwad, power forward, and center. But he play power forwad position for his team and he is a killer shooter. He also has a good shooting form, a different with Bird is, he often shoot the ball with fade away jump, that is make him so hard to block. This guy is Dallas Maverick's forwad, Dirk Nowitzki.

Nowitzki is frequently compared to Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird, as both are considered among the best shooters of all-time and both are prolific scorers. Both Bird and Nowitzki are three-point contest champions and excellent free-throw shooters. However, those who make such comparisons acknowledge that Bird had a more developed all-around game and was a better rebounder, defender, and passer.

His fullname was Dirk Werner Nowitzki (born June 19, 1978 in Würzburg, West Germany) is a German basketball player for the United States' National Basketball Association's (NBA) Dallas Mavericks. Standing at 2.13 m (7 ft 0 in), Nowitzki is an all-purpose forward, able to play any position in the frontcourt (center, power forward, or small forward). Nowitzki is widely regarded as one of the best players in the NBA today. Although there have been numerous German players in the NBA, in 2006 Nowitzki became just the second German-born player (after Detlef Schrempf) to make it to the Finals.

Strength:
Nowitzki is one of the best shooters in the NBA, and is capable of shooting a high percentage from both medium range and beyond the three-point line, an exceptional skill for a 7-foot forward.
His tall frame makes it difficult for defenders to guard and contest his jump shots. Nowitzki utilizes a fadeaway jumper which is difficult to block, and he is outstanding at the free throw line (over 90% in 2006).

Weakness:
Not a good low post player as his size.

T-Mac lead Houston Win Over Phoenix

Houston Rockets win over Phoenix Suns 120-117 on Monday Night.
Tracy McGrady wrote down 39 points as the Rockets won their fifth straight and clinched home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
Houston also snapped a six-game losing streak to Phoenix and secured its best record since 1997.

KG to Mavs?

Did you heard this...? The Mavs were offered Timberwolves' Kevin Garnett for Josh Howard and Jerry Stackhouse. To make salaries work it's likely Croshere would have been included.
What do you think about that? Is it good prospect for both team?
KG for Josh Howard and Stackhouse...
Howard and Stack is great players, but can you imagine the inside out game Dirk and KG could play?
It's look like Dallas is serious to make this trade for winning the NBA title this season...
Josh Howard is a terrific player, but Garnett is hall of fame. I understand the difficulty in pulling the trigger when the season is going so well, but Dallas is still not a lot better than Phoenix or San Antonio. Garnett would provide the defensive power at PF needed to play with Duncan and Amare.
So, if KG will play PF for Mavs, how is Dirk position?
Dirk play the Small Forward position? Is it good?
Dirk is not quick enough to play SF, but he is great in shooting the ball.
KG is also can play SF position, he is quick player, but not shoot as good as Dirk.
If KG and Dirk plays together as starter, it's mean Mavs will have three bigmen on court.
KG, Dirk, and Dampier/Diop... Three tower on the court...
So, Mavs' starting line up will like:
PG: Devin Harris/Jason Terry
SG: Jason Terry/George
SF: Dirk/KG
PF: KG/Dirk
C: Dampier/Diop
Look like a great starting line up is it?
But most people don't believed this issue...
If it's true, will Mavs win the title this season?
If Mavs don't win the title, what will they say...? Get second guessed...

Wade overtake Heat to win over Pacers

Wade overtake Heat to win over Pacers which scored 14 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter, plus got a steal and found James Posey for the go-ahead 3-pointer with 1:29 left that sparked the Heat to a 100-96 victory over the Indiana Pacers - a game where the defending NBA champions rallied from a seven-point deficit in the final 4:02.
The heat did seven of its eight final shots, closing the worked game in a 16-5.
"We were very fortunate to win," Heat coach Pat Riley said. "It took a lot of big defensive plays at the end. It took some great offensive plays by Dwyane, a big shot by Posey, and we get the winning."
Shaquille O'Neal wrote down 21 points in 10 for-12 shot and Posey had 18 in 6 for-6 which their shot - doing the five of its attempts of 3 points - for the heat, that beat Indiana for only the fourth time in last 20 meetings.
Danny Granger wrote down 24 points and Mike Dunleavy added 14 points and 10 rebounds for Indiana, that fell 1 1/2 games behind Orlando for the final Eastern Conference playoff spot.
Wade simply assumed the control behind schedule for the heat, after surviving a repugnant fall in the third quarter. He was dribbling along the left sideline when he was pushed by Dunleavy and wound up sailing over the first row of courtside seats. Wade used his left arm - the shoulder he injured seven weeks ago - to brace his fall, but got up without a problem.
Antoine Walker had 11 points, and Udonis Haslem, buttock after an absence of the two-game with a bruised groin injuried, had 10 points and 8 rebounds for Miami.
Jeff Foster, Troy Murphy and Shawne Williams all had 10 points for Indiana, that was without the point guard Jamaal Tinsley (sore right elbow injuried) for the fifth straight game. They maintained to six points in 2 for-13 shots and it seated quiet to Jermaine O'Neal in its closet by several minutes after the game, head down.
Indiana lacked his first eight shots and dragged 26-13 after the hook of Alonzo Mourning with 26 seconds left in the first quzrter, before reuniting to obtain within 53-46 in half.
Miami gave Indiana eight points off turnovers in the second quarter, and kept the lead primarily because of Posey's spark off the bench. He hit all five of his shots in the quarter - four from 3-point range - for 14 points in the period.
After their 0-for-8 start, the Pacers shot 58 percent (23-for-40) over the next 25 minutes and pulled into a 67-all tie on Dunleavy's reverse layup with 3:35 left in the third. There were two more ties later in the third, before Murphy went to Indiana's weapon of choice - the 3-pointer - with 1 second left in the period, putting the Pacers up 74-71.
Murphy hit another 3-pointer - then Indiana's ninth in 12 tries on the night - to put his team up 79-73 with 10:16 left. But the Pacers missed each of their last five attempts from beyond the arc, and Miami pulled off its comeback.

Denver to sign more point guard...

In order to encourage depth of point guard, one hopes that the nuggets to sign Von Wafer and Anthony Carter to contracts for the rest of the season. Wafer, Carter and Mateen Cleaves in Thursday solved for nuggets in the city of Oklahoma, including vice president of the operations of the basketball, marks Warkentien. Wafer, before which it has been solved for the equipment, said he had the understanding going into this workout that he would be signed.

The Nuggets have lacked depth at point guard ever since trading Andre Miller and Earl Boykins in December and January. Steve Blake is the only true point guard in the list of nuggets, and Allen Iverson has played a certain point guard. DerMarr Johnson has been used in situations dispersed in point guard.

Carter has played for the Miami Heats and the Minnesota Timberwolves, as well as overseas, in a race of eight years. He was with nuggets during training field and preseason. “I think that it is a great situation for me,” Carter said. "I can bring a lot more to the team as far as getting the scorers the ball, picking up full court, playing great defense, things like that."

Wafer starred with the Colorado 14ers, making an average of 21,0 points and 3,3 assists. Wafer's stint could be much more important for the future, as he looks to parlay this chance into a summer-league spot and possibly a roster spot on next year's team.

"Most definitely," Wafer said. "I want to work hard, do everything the coaches ask of me, work on my game."

Hibachi is down!

WASHINGTON -- To put the Hibachi in storage. Gilbert Arenas essentially are made for the seasons. The magicians of Washington indicate to protector had surgery Thursday for left injury of the knee that lateral line he by two to three months. The most optimistic panorama even has becoming only if its equipment handles to make the end of NBA without him. “It's pretty much down,” said DeShawn Stevenson, determining the humor of the quarter of the closet after the Thursday practice. “But at the same time, we are playoff team. We have to worry about the playoffs and winning games.” Arenas were diagnosed with rasgón lateral of the menisco and had surgery arthroscopic in the commemorative hospital of Sibley in Washington. They at night damaged in the first trimester of loss of 108-100 of Wednesday the Charlotte Bobcats. Arenas, that made an average of 28,4 points and six assists this season, always raised with a new slogan. The best ones were their nickname - Agent zero - and “Hibachi” which he would shout when throwing to his bridge. “It is an unfortunate incident,” coach Eddie Jordan said this. “As coaches in the NBA, you have to be prepared for what one of my old coaches use to call 'thunderbolts.' And I think we are prepared."
Thunderbolts, in fact. The Wizards are lost both of their All-Star to injuries in less than one week. Caron Butler broke a bone in his hand in the loss of Sunday to the Bucks and is in favor towards outside of six weeks. Consequently, the magicians are encountering at the end of which it was a very promising season only two months ago. They lost the games leaned mutually Tuesday and Wednesday to lottery-limits Bobcats and has fallen behind the Heats in the race for the suroriental title of the division.
That team had a chance to contend, and to lose their most crucial guy at the most pivotal time ... it really destroys the whole season, everything they did," Heat coach Pat Riley said before his team's game at Cleveland
The Wizards began the station with confidence, declaring the end of the east of the conference as their goal. When he was the butler down, still they hoped to meet around sands - even though they are 2-9 this station in which the butler does not play.
"It's very difficult, to lead a conference and be the best team, and then all of a sudden injuries kind of plague the team," captain Antawn Jamison said. "But it's basketball. It's not the first time this has ever happened. It's just difficult for us because we were on the brink of doing something special as far as contending for the best record and really making some noise. Not to say that is too far-fetched now, but the identity of the team is totally different."
With Arenas goings, Antonio Daniels will work to equipment like a true protector of the point, and Jamison, Stevenson, Etan Thomas, Jarvis Hayes, Darius Songaila and others will have to find ways to compensate the 47,5 combined points facts an average by Sands and the butler - both who also played almost 40 minutes by game.
The bottom line is you can't reinvent the wheel in April," Jordan said. "You stay with your system, but you shift the gears. You shift the focus to what your strength is now. Not Gil, not Caron, but now to Antawn and to Etan."
Arenas had doubled to this season “the takeover,” and during some time it was as good as his word. It fell 60 in the Los Angeles Lakers, 54 in Phoenix and was named player Eastern Conference of the month for December. He leads NBA with 35 games of 30 points. The combined success of sands and the magicians, along with its ostentosa understanding of the one same-commercialization, drove it in another level of stardom. He matched of Everything-Star by the third consecutive year, but this one was the first time that the ventilators voted it like starter.
Arenas began each game for the magicians until the night of Wednesday, when it was benched in the incline-dull opening to be slow for shootaround at the beginning of the day. The sands entered behind schedule the first trimester and were damaged less than two minutes advanced more, when Gerald Wallace of Charlotte inadvertently crashed in sands after layup reverso unbalanced.
Arenas doubled the incorrect way, like the one of a strategist who has been struck low by a installer of lines who undertook. “Once it discovered the injury severity, class of shellshocked a little,” Jamison this. “He is hard due to the type of year that it had, and the second phases came on us and all we know Gilbert - it loves the second phases and the light of calcium and the things like that.” It is first significant injury for sands since an abdominal tension sidelined for 27 games during station 2003-04. Only two games each one of the two last stations needed he.
Arenas finish the regular station with 2,105 points, feeling well to the first player of the license from Walt Bellamy to write down more than 2,000 points in three consecutive stations. “For our players now, this could a little while be shining,” Jordan this. “He is a little while shining for the cars also. When your two better players are down, you are training to equipment now that he has to move advanced.”

Is Greg Oden Ready?

Yes, it is 12 feet of stop. Yes, it can block three shots of the point whereas he is stopped in the track. Yes, he almost gained the national championship for the state of Ohio writing down 800 points and grasping 532 bounces yesterday at night.
Yes, NBA is ready for Greg Oden. No, Greg Oden is not ready for NBA. Until Greg Oden declares if or he is not entering the sketch of 2007 NBA, almost all char it of the sketch he is around going to be centered (no predicted retruécano) hardly how she is good Greg Oden and how he is ready is for NBA. To verify that, he is could play in NBA, but to be the player of the impact that he must be, and apparently wishes to be, he needs a plus year basketball of the university. After making an average of almost 16 points, 10 rebounds and on 3 blocks by east game year, so that Oden needs a plus year basketball of the university?
He needs a plus year because NBA is league of a man and Oden has been playing against boys all the station (even against Florida). Oden can seem great towards outside in the cut when he is playing against Florida or of the northwest, but put stops to you above against the energy sends and it is centered in NBA and he is going to seem a boy (in stature). Oden apparently has the ability fixed to the game to NBA. He can now throw with both hands, it has some decent movements in the post, and he can certainly play the defense; but it is not quite great to take care to inside play the night of the pivot and the night towards outside in NBA. Whereas it looks like to have many of the ticky-tack soil call NBA..... that NBA is physically a league of grueling to play pulg.
To have present that the summer last it could not raise to weights and basketball of the game due to the surgery in his right wrist. Not only this surgery kept it to play basketball ..... he, as soon as like importantly, it kept it from weights of elevation and to be able his ready body to play basketball. Démoste the east means next and the summer to do is prepared in the university of state of Ohio.
To send it in the quarter of the weight with the equipment of the soccer football, to leave it in the track with the equipment of the track….to let make it the things that it could/who must have made the summer last. Then, to let leave it and to dominate NCAA like a Shaq/admiral/Duncan (Shaq was thinner in university), as he could have had it be healthy the last summer.
Perhaps as soon as he wanted that Oden felt the best player well than he can be. Could he make all that training after being sketched? Yes, but when the players enter the NBA things happen and the things who must be done ..... do not obtain done (is seen: Walker, Antoine). If that one goes to happen to Greg Oden all we would lack outside towards in an occasion seeing something truely special in NBA.

Detroit was called for the first five soils of the quarter, but Miami could not take advantage. Even with O'Neal in the bank, the heat lacked seises of his first eight free attempts of the shot of the period. That to leave the pistons they meet, and Carlos Delfino to rob and dunk threw of them to 78-77 with 6:50 to the left.
